At just 8 years old, Alec imagined a magnificent seascape with a lighthouse lit up at sunset. Touched by his drawing, full of calm and warmth, the City of Saint-Amable chose to name this therapeutic bear "Phare marin" (Sea Lighthouse).
This child's drawing, transformed into a Béké-Bobo therapeutic bear, becomes a comforting companion designed to bring gentleness, soothing, and well-being to people of all ages.
Created as part of the fundraising for the Fondation Lajemmerais to benefit the Maison des aînés de Saint-Amable, this bear helps to concretely support the well-being of seniors in the community.
For each bear sold, $25 is donated to the Fondation Lajemmerais.
A practical and comforting hot-cold therapeutic compress
The therapeutic bear is designed to naturally help relieve many everyday aches and pains.
Used warm, it can help to:
- relieve muscle and joint pain;
- calm stomach aches and digestive discomfort;
- relax accumulated tension;
- warm up on cold or uncomfortable days.
Used cold, it can help to:
- reduce bumps and bruises;
- soothe inflammation;
- relieve headaches;
- calm certain acute pains or sensations of heat.
Its comforting effect is appreciated by children as much as by adults and seniors.
How to use
For hot use
Remove the therapeutic pouch and heat it in the microwave for approximately 30 seconds, depending on the appliance's power.
For cold use
Place the therapeutic pouch in the freezer for approximately 2 hours before use.

COLD : Place in a plastic bag, which will protect it from food odors, and leave in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Take out of the bag and apply directly to your baby’s skin.
WARM :
Small Bears : Remove the cereal-stuffed pouch from the teddy bear. Heat in microwave (1000 watts) for 30 seconds then put back the cereal-stuffed pouch in the removable cover. To prevent burns, test on an adult’s skin before applying on your baby’s skin. Do not overheat.
Carefully read the instructions on the product before using.
Care instructions
- To wash your teddy bear, remove the cereal-stuffed pouch from the teddy bear. Machine wash the cover in cold water. The cereal-stuffed pouch is not washable.
- The cover can be dried in your dryer.
- If the teddy bear has absorbed food odors from your freezer, simply add a few drops of vanilla essence in a small glass of water, place it beside the cereal-stuffed pouch in the microwave, and heat for 15 seconds. The odors should disappear.
The teddy bear is 18-cm high and a little more than 13-cm wide. It is made of 100% Minky polyester and a pouch stuffed with an optimal blend of cereals. Tags with instructions and warnings are attached to the cover. The Béké-Bobo teddy bear is available in five colors and features playful drawings on its tummy.
