Spring break is coming, and spring break means quality family time! To keep kids from getting bored (or spending too much time in front of screens), here are 10 ideas for fun and easy activities to organize , whether indoors in the warmth or outside to enjoy the fresh air.
Outdoor activities to enjoy winter
1. Build a snow fort or castle*
There's nothing more magical than creating a real snowy lair ! With buckets and sand molds, kids can create their own frozen kingdom. For an extra touch of magic, add food coloring to the water as you freeze it in the containers. With the March sunshine, it'll be spectacular!
And for more fun, if space and the amount of snow allow, build a snow slide or an ice rink!
* Building a tunnel or snow fort can be dangerous. Remember that it is important to keep the snow clear of your head.
2. Organize a snowy treasure hunt
Hide colorful objects (toys, scarves, little surprises) in the snow and give clues for children to find them. A simple activity that's perfect for little adventurers!
Bonus: It gives you a little time to sip your coffee! 😉
3. Go for a snowshoe or skate walk
Whether it's a snowshoe hike in the forest or an outdoor skating excursion, the important thing is to get moving and enjoy the great outdoors. To keep everyone warm afterward, a nice hot chocolate and a hot water bottle (hello Béké-Bobo bear ) will be perfect.
4. Try snow painting
Fill water bottles with food coloring and let kids draw on the snow . A great way to add color to winter days.
5. Plan a campfire night with marshmallows
If the weather permits, prepare a small outdoor campfire with blankets and marshmallows to roast. A comforting activity that the whole family will enjoy!
Indoor activities to have fun at home
6. Create a home theater
Transform your living room into a movie theater ! Set down some cushions and blankets, make some popcorn, and choose a family movie for the perfect cozy moment.
7. Prepare an indoor picnic
Who says picnics are just for summer? Spread a blanket on the floor, prepare some snacks, and pretend you're in nature... even if it's in the middle of your living room! Need a nature soundtrack? We've got one right here .

9. Do a salt dough or painting workshop
Make salt dough figurines, paint greeting cards or even create watercolor works of art . The possibilities are endless to develop the artistic side of little ones!
